About Improvement East

Improvement East is the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (RIEP) for the East of England. Improvement East is the name chosen by our panel of elected Members to represent the Partnership, building on the successful foundations laid by the former regional improvement partnership; Building Capacity East (BCE) and the Regional Centre of Excellence (RCE) east.

Along with all 58 local and fire and rescue authorities, our partners include; the East of England Local Government Association (EELGA), the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA), the Audit Commissionthe Government Office for the East of England (GO-East) and the East of England Development Agency (EEDA). Alongside our panel of elected Members, we receive strategic guidance and leadership from an Executive Advisory Group (EAG). This group is made up of chief executives from authorities across the region.
