About Improvement East
Improvement East is a partnership of authorities in the East of England - councils and fire and rescue services. We also work closely with partners in health, police and the voluntary sector.
We are politically led and part of the East of England Local Government Association (LGA). We are accountable to
a Panel of the East of England LGA which is made up of 16 Councillors from across the region who meet at least three times a year. It is chaired by Cllr Richard Stay, Central Bedfordshire Council. The full membership of the Panel is available
here. Details of the Panel meetings can be found on the
committee pages of the East of England LGA website.
A small group of three Chief Executives act as a reference group and we also report to the regional Chief Executive Group on a quarterly basis.
We are run by authorities for authorities, providing free support and returnable investment to enable them to build their capacity to improve and transform service outcomes and levels of efficiency.
