Asset Management - Five key principles

25/10/2012

Improvement East hosted its second successful Asset Management Master Class event at the Moller Centre in Cambridge on 18th October.  Delegates gained the opportunity to hear presentations on a wide range of topics from leading practitioners and to participate in informal workshops exploring asset management initiatives taking place across the East of England.  Copies of all the presentations and workshop materials can be viewed here.

The keynote speech was given by Baroness Hanham, the Communities and Local Government Minister, who stressed the importance of smart asset management and the 5 key principles that underpin intelligent asset management: collaboration, visible leadership, innovation, transparency (mapping and data sharing) and that “smart asset management needs to be shaped to provide better and more efficient services”.  The full text of Baroness Hanham’s speech can be read here.
