About Procurement East
We recognise the importance of public sector organisations working together to improve their approach to procurement. Our aim is to be both a host for critical information, including about contracts or best practice, and also a focal point for networking and communications between organisations to bring about these improvements.
Our Procurement East programme includes:
A regional contracts register
Our Contracts Register facility allows organisations to upload and maintain their own contract information on-line, to be shared with partners across the East of England.
A collaborative procurement programme
Our programme brings together public sector organisations, particularly across the traditional boundaries of sector or geography, to develop and instigate better approaches to procurement, such as Supplier Relationship Development, to generate cash efficiency savings.
The "Procurement Challenge"
Our Procurement Challenge process is a short, sharp diagnostic process which can deliver high impact results at very low cost. The process has already been used successfully in a number of councils across the East of England.
A Procurement East Network
The Procurement East Network (PEN) is a networking group for senior Procurement colleagues across the East of England. The group is made of one delegate from each of the County and Unitary Authorities, plus up to 10 delegates from districts and boroughs (2 per county) and representatives from the wider public sector, including Fire and Health Services.
The "Procurement Series"
The "Procurement Series" is a set of monthly training events, funded by us and focussed on current issues of importance in public procurement.
