Procurement East Network

The Procurement East Network (PEN) is a networking group for senior Procurement colleagues across the East of England. The group is made of one delegate from each of the County and Unitary Authorities, plus up to 10 delegates from districts and boroughs (2 per county) and representatives from the wider public sector, including Fire and Health Services.

The group meets every 2 months at Suffolk County Council's offices in Bury St Edmunds, where Improvement East is based. Recent meetings have seen presentations from key colleagues at Pro5, the Government Procurement Service and the Cabinet Office. As well as being a good networking group, the PEN gives colleagues an opportunity to influence the work of Improvement East - the development of both the Contracts Register and the Procurement Series have been directly influenced by the opinions of PEN members.
